Lavasa Corporation Ltd, Cisco and Wipro  today signed definitive agreements for Cisco to participate in MyCity Technology Limited, a company set up by Lavasa and Wipro last year to provide ICT services in the new development of Lavasa City, India’s first complete e-city. The strategic collaboration between the three companies, to build a next generation intelligent sustainable community, is based on a shared vision of sustainable urbanization, Cisco®’s Smart+Connected Communities initiative, and Wipro’s ICT solutions and services.

Lavasa City is free India's first and largest Hill City being developed by Lavasa Corporation Ltd, a part of HCC Group. MyCity Technology Ltd. will leverage the strengths of the three companies to help make Lavasa City the first complete e-city in India. By planning, implementing and managing information and Communication Technology (ICT) services across Lavasa City, MyCity Technology Ltd. aims to make Lavasa City the most technologically advanced city in the world.

As part of the collaboration, Cisco will be the preferred technology partner for ICT products and architecture and use its Smart+Connected Communities initiative and Service Delivery Platform to help make Lavasa City a smart and sustainable city of the future. Cisco’s Smart+Connected Communities vision is that the network as the platform can transform physical communities to connected communities run on networked information to achieve economic, social and environmental sustainability. A foundational, open-architecture platform, Cisco’s Service Delivery Platform enables Cisco and its ecosystem to create and deploy new smart services and applications to community citizens as well as people that manage and operate the community infrastructure.

Wipro will provide its expertise in areas like city management services, e-governance, ICT infrastructure and value added services, including proposing and implementing intelligent home solutions and digital lifestyles. Wipro will also design the detailed infrastructure for telecom services for governance, as well as solutions for the residents of Lavasa City and their visitors. Wipro will provide telecom-based services that will facilitate smart homes and buildings, including integrated building management systems, physical security requirements and other on-demand services.
