John is a seasoned business leader with 33 years of industry experience. He has a proven track record of strategic leadership and strong business acumen that has driven growth and success for multiple organizations. Prior to joining Wipro, John worked at Atos for 13 years in various leadership roles like Operations Head for North America, CEO of Managed Services in Germany, Global Chief Operating Officer for the Siemens account. In his last role, he was the Chief Operating Officer for the Digital, Cloud, Big Data and Security Business line at Atos, where he was responsible for operational and delivery excellence, driving synergies uniformity, margin transformation, and quality across the business lines and regional business units. John also led the alliance for the largest customer of Atos, executive sponsor for several customers and new deals. 

John has a master’s degree in Information Systems and Management (Tilburg University, 1991) and a second one in IT Audit (Tias, 1994). He has also attended the general management program at INSEAD (2006) in Fontainebleau, France.  

He is a family man and loves to spend time with his wife Joke (Johanna) and their two daughters Anne and Laura. They love to travel, watch movies, and enjoy a good dinner together. He likes watching sports (especially soccer, cycling and speedskating), wine tasting and travel. He is eager to learn new things and explore different cultures.
